{"id":42,"date":"2022-11-22T14:39:53","date_gmt":"2022-11-22T07:39:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambjakarta.esteri.it\/chi-siamo\/"},"modified":"2025-02-17T11:34:05","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T04:34:05","slug":"chi-siamo","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ambjakarta.esteri.it\/en\/chi-siamo\/","title":{"rendered":"About us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian Embassy in Jakarta represents Italy in Indonesia, Timor Leste and the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Mission is Ambassador (Designate) Roberto Colamine`.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 18 April 1961, the functions of the Embassy are, among others, to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To protect the interests of Italy and its citizens, within the limits allowed by international law;<\/li>\n<li>To negotiate with the government of Indonesia and Timor Leste;<\/li>\n<li>To inform, by any lawful means, of the conditions and evolution of events in Indonesia and Timor Leste and report to the Italian State;<\/li>\n<li>To promote friendly relations and develop economic, cultural and scientific relations between Italy and Indonesia and between Italy and Timor Leste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through its Consular section, the Italian Embassy in Jakarta also provides a range of consular services to Italian and foreign citizens residing in the territory of its constituency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Embassy in Jakarta represents Italy in Indonesia, Timor Leste and the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) Secretariat.
