The Italy-IRENA Action for Climate Toolkit (I ACT) initiative is a collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), to build the capacity of young people on climate and energy issues.
The first round of the program, dedicated to the science journalist Piero Angela, had a great success in Indonesia, with 2 indonesian climate activists trained in the first stage, and a second stage with Indonesian trainers that organized three workshops with the support of the local Italian Embassy (15-16 September 2023 in Jakarta, 8-9 June 2024 in Singapore, 12 October 2024 in Bali).
Now we restart with a new round, again with a first phase where selected Peer Educators will profit from free online training by IRENA in May 2025, and later will be able to ttransmit their knowledge in person in Indonesia with the support of the Italian Embassy in Jakarta.
