The Embassy of Italy welcomed the Italian Navy’s Ship Giovanni delle Bande Nere in Jakarta today, September 30th, 2026.
The Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Roberto Colaminè, the Defence Attaché Captain Giovanni Marilli, and representatives of the Indonesian Navy were received on board by Commander Lorenzo Malandrucco and greeted the crew upon the ship’s arrival in Indonesia.
The Ambassador highlighted the importance of this event as a new stage for Italian naval diplomacy in the region and in Indonesia amid increasingly close relations between the two Navies.
