The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) has created the “Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award” to recognize the outstanding contributions of an experienced Italian scientist who has significantly advanced science and technology (S&T) while conducting research abroad. The award highlights the role of Italian scientists in strengthening bilateral S&T collaborations with foreign countries and international organizations while enhancing Italy’s presence on the global scientific stage.
The “Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award” is open to Italian scientists currently active in the following regions:
- Africa and the Middle East
- Asia and the Pacific
- Europe
- Central and South America and the Caribbean
- North America
